This is a stunning beautiful 19th Century Church altar canvas with fringe on its original hanging bar image of Jesus at the mound praying with an angel. Somebody at great exspense had it put in a contemporary gold gilt wood shadow box. The shadow box is 29 1/2″ y 36 1/2″ by 2 1/4 deep. The wall mounting looks like a painting but I know in the Victorian days they put litho prints on canvas also that looks like paintings. It has some wear to the image consistent t its age. I have not looked at this out of the frame. It weighs 13 pounds and has glass.
