Very engaged with art and science. Most plates engraved by J. Subject: Plate page 1158:’Doe quam de Heere nader om de Stadt en Toren te besien.. Then the Lord came down to see the city and the tower built by the people and He said;’Let us confuse their language so they will not understand each other. So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. Included is an extensive legend (or copy). Condition: Fair, given age. Original folds, as issued. All margins reinforced on the rear with paper and acid-free archival tape (one tear, in the right margin, extends into the image). Several tears in the folds (affecting image) similarly restored. Left and right edges faintly browned. Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 67 x 33 cm. The image size is ca. 64 x 28 cm. Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 26.4 x 13 inch. 25.2 x 11 inch.
