This is an old, large framed needlepoint tapestry measuring just over 26″ by 21″. The standout feature is the applied or attached face, hands and feet of the Holy Family and the sewn on gold coiled thread and bead halos, most unusual and unique. This large and intricate tapastry obviously took its artist many hours to complete. On the back in pencil it is inscribed To Mary Geist, With Love Mary Moore. It looks to be in very good vintage condition although there is one small unfinished area. It has actually hung on my wall for almost a year and just now while listing it I saw the missed spot on the figure to the far left. I show it in next to last photo.
