Beautifully rendered renaissance style Petite oval portrait of Mary and Jesus on porcelain plaque, unsigned. Is in excellent condition, no cracks or chips, and presents wonderfully. Frame is in good shape, although is missing 1 bead on the inside of the oval, and the gold gild is worn, but looks great with the portrait. Plaque, and frame fitter size measure 5″ tall by 4″ wide. Sight size is 4 7/16″ tall by 3 7/16″ wide. Overall dimensions are 5 5/8″ tall by 4 9/16″ wide by 1/2 thick. Weighs about 5 1/2 oz. Is glued into the frame, and did not try to remove, although i took of the backing to see if there was some kind of mark or signature, all i found was older and newer glue, apparently had a black backing at one time.
