The size of the frame is 22″ x 24″ and it is about 3 1/2 deep. Condition is good, except for age and wear marks, cracks, nicks, dents, fading, etc. There is a tear about 4″ wide to the inside background mounting paper on the left vertical panel located at the “8 of an imaginary clock (see photo of entire piece) which could be glued back down. The front frame with the glass is hinged by 4 sets of hooks with corresponding eye bolts which need a little adjustment. One eye bolt is missing (see photo). Curiously, in back there are small pinholes with wires coming out of them. When you pull the wires, sections of the floral and orament arrangements move. The overall impact of this amazing work of art is it’s mysterious and haunting quality. It is beautifully constructed and the colors are rich and full of fascination. Antique 1890s Victorian Religious Sampler – The Lords Prayer. This sampler is SPECTACULAR! Intricately stitched with thread in shades of red, pink, orange, gold, brown, and even green. Measures 22.5 inches tall by 18.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep. There is some staining to the punch paper background. The stitching is in great condition, though some stitching was not completed (see the anchor, heart, and cross symbol in the middle). This sampler is framed under glass in a large thick frame that may be original to the piece. The frame is stable and ready to be hung on the wall and enjoyed, but scratches, scuffs, and dings are present. Antique Victorian 1890s religious sampler He Leadeth Me. Measures 24 inches long by 11 1/2 inches high framed. This beautiful sampler is done in shades of reds, pinks, greens, and ivory tones.
