Hello, you are viewing my sale for a Stunning Antique Lifesize Wood Carving of an African Religious Man Holding a Child Baby on His Shoulder. This man is holding a Jesus Christ Crucifix Cross in his hand and the baby child is resting upon a Bible. There are Rosary Beads Hanging from the man’s waist. This is a Stunning carving with an extreme amount of detailing throughout. This is a lovely piece of Christianity for the serious collector. I have never seen another carving like this before. It appears to be carved from a solid piece of wood. This carving weighs 34.6 pounds and measures 50″ tall by 11″ wide by 7 and 1/4 deep. There is some minor wear present which I have shown in my photographs. There are some naturally occurring splits in the wood. They are very hard to notice however I wanted to point them out. There are no repairs present. The details throughout are the work of a serious artist with an amazing ability. Please view all my photographs for further details. Please note all sales are final.
