Antique religious black funeral roman vestment. Decorated with silverthread, woven into the fabric. Condition is very good for its age, and ready for use. Probably made around 1880/1900. Please take a good look at the pictures to see the condition, and remember that most items are more than 100 years old and used for a long time. Comes from a convent in Belgium. Measures 24 inch wide and 37 inch from neck to hem. All my items are securely packet, to avoid all possible damage. Please contact me if you have any questions. A wonderful French antique religious sculpture in low-relief depicting the Our Lady Virgin Mary in an architectural decor. The wall carving has been molded and carved from soap plaster (imitating carved meerschaum), also named petrified limestone. The religious piece of art has been framed with a black wooden frame topped by a cross. CONDITION: the top of the cross has been repaired. Old wood worms holes on the frame. Height: 8 5/8 (22cm). Width: 6 1/2 (16.5cm). Limestone inlays were created in the 19th century by Jean Serre and Michel Papon.
