LARGE ANTIQUE DAPRATO CHURCH STATUE, SAINT THERESA WITH GLASS EYES, ATTRACTIVE FACE, PLASTER STATUE, PAINT PROFESSIONALLY REFRESHED AT SOME POINT WITH SOME ELABORATE GOLD WORK, NICELY DETAILED STATUE, SOME MINOR DAMAGE THAT COULD BE REPAIRED AND THIS BEAUTIFUL, EXCEPTIONAL, STATUE WOULD BE CHURCH READY. Age – early 20th century. Approximate size – 49 1/2″H x 16″W, base 14″ x 14″. Condition – this statue in good shape except for, some chips to petals of front rose – see photo, one chip to tip of gown lower left side, and a chip to edge of base lower left side, a very small nice to veil, and maybe a couple other minor nicks to base, paint in good shape, missing Cross she would have been holding. Daprato statues – inset labels – PRODUCTION OF, DAPRATO, STATUARY CO, CHICAGO NEW YORK. Age – mid 20th century. Approximate size – each 48″H x 16″W, base 12″ x 12″. Condition – this statue was stored in an unheated closed church for five years, paint seems stable on faces but otherwise quite a bit of flaking, wooden sword has been broken lose at some point and needs repair at handle – see last photo.
