Featuring a miniature portrait of a serene Madonna gowned in white and blue robes, holding in her lap the infant Jesus. Both figures with gilded halos. Depicted against a sepia hued background resembling an intricate floral damask pattern. A fantastic’scène de famille’ portraying a mother and child as well as a religious icon image beautifully rendered here in fine detail and vibrant color. Signed J or L Denis.
