God’s Kingdom On Earth-Antique Rare German Religious Book 1904 Illustrated. German Title: Gottes Reich auf Erden in Wort und Bild : oder, Die Geschichte des Alten und Neuen Testamentes und die Geschichte der katholischen Kirche bis auf die heutige Zeit / fur das katholische Volk hrsg. Details: About 700 pages. Lots of black and white line art illustrations. Both Old and New Testaments are represented in the illustrations. About 12 color plates on glossy paper. Almost 120 years old. Pages are brown with age but mostly clean. As far as I can see, there is no writing or underlining of any sort. Appears to be about the history of the Catholic Church along with stories from the Bible. It’s not in perfect condition, as can be seen in the pictures above, but in my opinion this is still fantastic condition for a book of this age. I would recommend this to religious scholars, Catholics of German heritage interested in Church/Christian history (provided you can read German), collectors of German and European religious art, church going Christians who wish to present the book to their church, or anyone who wants to show off a pretty book to their friends. I have tried to show as much of the book as I could in 12 slots, but this is hardly sufficient, so please ask for more photos.
