RARE ANCIENT BIBLE SCROLL I KINGS MANUSCRIPT FRAGMENT Italy, 19th Century, Ink on parchment. Italian Ashkenazi script, vocalized, with cantillation marks. Book of I Kings 3:15 – 4:1 Haftarot Miketz (complete). This hand-written fragment is approximately 150- 200 years old and made from Sheep skin. This Scroll came from Italy, it is prized for its beauty of its parchment and its beautiful writing. The parchment holds its ink well and the letters remain and easy to read. Bible Fragments like these are extremely rare and seldom seen in synagogues or available due to their age. The Bible Scroll considering its age is well preserved and in good condition and will stay beautiful with care for centuries to come. The scroll is made of 2 pieces of parchment glued together. This is your opportunity to own a Torah Bible fragment as a family heirloom. The manuscript fragment is from Haftarot Scroll – Book of Haftarot, on parchment scroll. How nice it would be to take a piece of hisotria of this Bible and frame it and present it in a dignified manner it will be well preserved for many years to come. 15.75″ x 4.72″. 40 X 12 cm. The scroll Covers the Topics. The haftarah for Parashat Miketz is taken from the Book of I Kings 3:15 – 4:1. It tells of King Solomon’s dream and his request for wisdom, highlighting the connection between the dreams in the parasha (those of Pharaoh and Joseph) and the king’s dream. It also shows how Solomon’s wisdom was revealed to the people through the famous judgment he rendered. Content of the Haftarah. Solomon’s Dream and Request: Solomon asks God not for riches or long life, but for a wise and understanding heart to judge his people. The Gift of Wisdom: God appears to Solomon in a dream and grants him a wise and discerning heart, as he requested. The Famous Judgment: The haftarah concludes with the story of Solomon’s wise ruling between two women claiming the same baby. His decision reveals his profound wisdom to the entire nation. I Kings 3:15 – 4:1. 15 Then Solomon awoke-and he realized it had been a dream. Then he gave a feast for all his court. 16 Now two prostitutes came to the king and stood before him. 17 One of them said, Pardon me, my lord. This woman and I live in the same house, and I had a baby while she was there with me. 18 The third day after my child was born, this woman also had a baby. We were alone; there was no one in the house but the two of us. 19 During the night this woman’s son died because she lay on him. 20 So she got up in the middle of the night and took my son from my side while I your servant was asleep. She put him by her breast and put her dead son by my breast. 21 The next morning, I got up to nurse my son-and he was dead! But when I looked at him closely in the morning light, I saw that it wasn’t the son I had borne. 22 The other woman said, No! The living one is my son; the dead one is yours. But the first one insisted, No! The dead one is yours; the living one is mine. And so they argued before the king. 23 The king said, This one says,’My son is alive and your son is dead,’ while that one says,’No! Your son is dead and mine is alive. 24 Then the king said, Bring me a sword. So they brought a sword for the king. 25 He then gave an order: Cut the living child in two and give half to one and half to the other. 26 The woman whose son was alive was deeply moved out of love for her son and said to the king, Please, my lord, give her the living baby! Don’t kill him! But the other said, Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two! 27 Then the king gave his ruling: Give the living baby to the first woman. Do not kill him; she is his mother. 28 When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice. 4:1 So King Solomon ruled over all Israel. 12th-Century Latin Psalter Leaf Italy, c. 1150 Early Gothic Script

This rare and beautiful manuscript leaf is an authentic mid-12th-century psalter fragment, written in Latin on vellum in a transitional hand between Caroline minuscule and early Gothic textualis. Likely produced in Italy, the leaf features three red rubricated initials and clean, well-formed script, originally intended for use in monastic liturgy or private devotion. Recovered from a later book binding, the fragment bears evidence of age and reuse, including toning and wormholes, yet the text remains impressively legible. The leaf includes a portion of Psalm 122, used in processional liturgy: “Laetatus sum in his quae dicta sunt mihi. ” A rare survivor from the Romanesque era of manuscript production, with prestigious provenance from the Marvin L. Antique Painting Religious MADONNA & Child, Ornate Filigree Frame, Italy

Antique Hand Painted Religious MADONNA & Child, Ornate Filigree Frame, Italy. ANTIQUE RELIGIOUS MADONNA ICON. Gorgeous antique religious hand painted image of the Madonna and child in original frame measuring about 5-3/4″ tall 3-5/8″ wide and 5/8 deep. Featuring an ornate, wood backed frame layered with brass beading, a beautiful pierced filigree border and ivory trim accented with corner detail – although the frame appears to be Czech, it is stamped MADE IN ITALY on the side edge. Back is complete with brass swing arms for holding image in place as well as original wood door. I’ve taken it apart to check and made sure – the image is hand painted on vellum and signed finely with two initials that are hard to decipher. Beautifully rendered with fine detail, it is housed underneath a dome top glass cover. Due to the pencil notations here and there, I believe the painting was done in Italy. Condition is wonderful with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, water damage, fading, holes, or wear – only thing of note – the back ring hooks for hanging are no longer present – the piece displays beautifully on small stand – I will include a clear plastic folding easle if you wish. Just an outstanding old religious painting – very moving – frame takes it over the top. Lovely addition to any home, collection or display! If questions, please contact me, thanks! The beige-colored set features artist-designed pieces from the Fontanini franchise, with a religious theme perfect for Christmas celebrations. This vintage collection includes 17 figures. Made by Fontanini, this set is a beautiful and classic addition to any holiday decor. Joseph & Mary 1991. The smaller animals and the angel do not have a year on them.
