Antique Our Lady of Mount Carmel & St. Joseph Domus Suae Catholic Medal. SIZE: 3.2 x 3.8 Cm. Depicts Saint Joseph holding the Child Jesus, flanked by the founders of the Carmelite Order, St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross, kneeling before the Carmelite shield. The Latin inscription around the border reads. CONSTITUIT EUM DOMINUM DOMUS SUAE. (He made him the lord of his household), a quotation from the Litany of Saint Joseph. Shows the Virgin Mary appearing to Saint Simon Stock and presenting the Carmelite scapular. The Latin inscription reads. REGINA DECOR CARMELI ORA P. (Queen, Beauty of Carmel, Pray for us). IT WAS FOUND IN THE ATTIC OF A NOW CLOSED NUNS CONVENT AND IS AN ORIGINAL PIECE BY THE ARTIST JOSEPH MALACHY KAVANAGH AND IS HAND PAINTED ON CANVAS AND FRAMED IN AN ELEGANT GOLD FINISHED WOOD FRAME THAT IS 21 3/4 INCHES TALL BY 18 3/4 INCHES WIDE AND 3 INCHES DEEP. IT IS SIGNED BY JOSEPH MALACHY KAVANAGH WHO WAS A FAMOUS IRISH PAINTER WHO WAS BORN IN DUBLIN, IRELAND IN 1856 AND DIED IN DUBLIN APRIL 2, 1918. IT HAS ATTACHED A BRASS LAMP FOR ILLUMINATING THE ARTWORK THAT HAS OLD CLOTH WIRING THAT IS NOT SAFE TO TRY. THE LAMP COULD BE REMOVED IF DESIRED, THE DEPTH WITH THE LAMP ATTACHED IS 7 3/4 INCHES. For sale we have a Antique original ST. JOSEPH Sacred Heart Of Jesus Lithograph Poster Print 16 x 20. Very rare poster to come by that I believe was made in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. I’m guessing it was made in Italy, Germany, or the US. It measures 16″ x 20″ and appears to be in very good condition for the most part. It has fantastic coloring and I think it would look great once framed. There’s some wear to the corners and edges. Noticed a small tear on the right edge towards the top. No paper loss on the tear. There’s a couple small marks but nothing too noticeable. It also looks like there was some water damage on the back but thankfully you can’t see it very well on the front. It would be towards the top right corner. It also doesn’t have that crinkly feel when posters get wet so maybe it’s just discolored from age. Still an amazing piece that has stood the rest of time. Scarce Church 19th Century European Religious Banner. Hard to find from circa 1890s. This banner is made with canvas and a fabric backing. It has its original lace border and intricate fringed bottom. The center has its original 1890s Oleograph which is made to look like an oil painting. Joseph with the baby Jesus Christ scene. If you look close to the see the hallows above each. This type of banner was used alot during Church events. You don’t come across original banners from this period very often. Guaranteed over 100 years and original. No longer has its old wood bar to hang. You could easily find a bar to hang this. The Oleograph has worn which is pretty typical. Back has a fabric has discoloration staining from age. There are some areas of minor lace damage and some loose threads. Overall measures about 32″ tall (including lace hanging rings) x 20″ wide at extremes. This is an antique, over 100 years old, fabric textile that is a rare survivor. Hard to find example. Pictures are part of the description. We have been long time collectors and dealers of early English Transferware, Quality 19th century furniture, and Victoriana. Heavy patina with worn gilt throughout revealing bronze-like color. Enough so that there was consideration if the set is bronze with gold gilt. One rim in particular is bent, some other small indentations on the base. Please see photos for up close views. A pair of late 19th-century – early 20th century brass candlesticks with cameos of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus on the base. Neoclassic columns with fluted tops. They hold standard taper candles. Although designed for church altars, they are quite suitable to use as accents on side tables or on a formal dinner table.

The Fantonini Depose Italy Nativity Set with Drummer Boy is a small plastic Nativity set made in Italy in 1983 (some pieces from 1989 & 1991). The beige-colored set features artist-designed pieces from the Fontanini franchise, with a religious theme perfect for Christmas celebrations. This vintage collection includes 17 figures. Made by Fontanini, this set is a beautiful and classic addition to any holiday decor. Joseph & Mary 1991. The smaller animals and the angel do not have a year on them.
