The following advertisement presents an ancient solid brass lectern from the late 19th century. At the center of it, a majestic cross stands out, the undisputed symbol of Christianity. The cross, made with precision and delicacy, stands on the entire lectern, giving a sense of sacredness and importance to its presence. The base of the lectern, where the book is placed, is adorned with a graceful putto, which adds a touch of grace and delicate splendor to the entire composition. This is an antique lectern / podium from out church and I don’t know the exact age but its quite old. The perch (the platform where you place the bible or whatever book or papers) elevates and is adjustable. There is a large wing screw that tightens into one of a series of indents to affix the position. The perch is covered in velvet and to the side is a mount for a microphone gooseneck which will be included but I forgot to attach it for the pictures. Really nice piece of furniture well made and it does show its age with typical wear but overall very usable. Inside is rather dusty. Lamp attached is included. Once an item is inspected and removed from our premises it is no return for any reason. People get mad at sellers when they don’t read ebays poor language correctly and get dragged into a problem ebays system creates. Antique Dutch Frisian wood carved Bible LEctern stand. Was coming out of chapel in the north part of holland, Friesland. Their frisian carvings is a very recongnizable type of wood carving. Rare to find such a religious lectern in their typical carving. 40 cm wide and 33.5 cm height and 32 cm depth. Overall good condition, only 2 wood cracks on top right but not that disturbing at all see pics.
