The locket opens to reveal two original photo compartments and a heartfelt hand-engraved message on the back WITH ALL OUR LOVE. A true sentimental treasure of the 19th century. Authentic yellow Gold-Filled Victorian era locket c. Intricate raised appliqué cross with floral & scroll work. Engine-turned zig-zag border around the front. Decorative Aesthetic-style bail with black/navy & white enamel. Exterior message engraved: “WITH ALL OUR LOVE”. Original inner frames present (one side fitted, one smooth back). This stunning hand painted and hand crafted pendant measures 1 1/2″ long (not including the ring) by 1 1/4″ wide by 3/4 thick. The case is brass and the delicately painted artwork is done on porcelain. I estimate that the piece is from the mid to late 19th century. This antique locket was made in France and is crafted from 800 silver. It features an image of the Virgin Mary and Jesus. The locket is hallmarked for 800 silver as well as an illegible makers mark. It measures 7/8 inches wide and closes securely. Good condition though it does show wear commensurate with age.

Antique Art Nouveau Era Locket Gold Filled Religious Necklace with Insert. It measures about 1 1/8″ long from the top center by 1″ wide. The chain is vintage, but not as old as the locket. It measures about 18 around. My husband and I ran a curiosities shop in Laguna Beach, California for many years. Very fine quality silver filigree work, this locket and ear rings are beautifully done and I’m sure you would probably not find another like this in a very long time. In great condition for its age with only minor flaws, nothing noticeably. The ear ring wires are not original. I would guess an 800 grade silver not Sterling. The locket measures approximately 3″ tall by 1 1/4″ wide. The ear rings measures approximately 2″ tall by 1/2″ wide. Weights approximately 23.3 grams. This is all in the original leather box.
