Beautiful late-Victorian oval locket featuring a raised applied cross and scrolling foliate motif, finished with a stunning enamel-trim bail. The locket opens to reveal two original photo compartments and a heartfelt hand-engraved message on the back WITH ALL OUR LOVE. A true sentimental treasure of the 19th century. Authentic yellow Gold-Filled Victorian era locket c. Intricate raised appliqué cross with floral & scroll work. Engine-turned zig-zag border around the front. Decorative Aesthetic-style bail with black/navy & white enamel. Exterior message engraved: “WITH ALL OUR LOVE”. Original inner frames present (one side fitted, one smooth back). Locket (without bail): 1-1/8. With bail: 1.75. Chain length: 18. Light age wear to the surface and enamel, consistent with Victorian age. Inner photo ring present with center fitting. No cracks or dents; hinge and closure function well. Ready to wear or add a photo/memento.

Offered here is a wonderful Victorian sign on a solid wood shield, hand painted with. This shield would have hung in a seminary or similar, and is just a beautiful thing. The patina of this is wonderful. It is a completely unique, one off piece. We will be truly sorry when it sells. We have a set of 4 mottos and 2 silence is requested available separately.
