Rare Antique 1894 Madonna di Loreto Medal – Catholic Protection Pendant Italy. SIZE: 3.3 x 4.0 CM. WEIGHT: 14.2 GRAMS. It is crafted in bronze or brass tone metal, showing beautiful age patina and fine relief detail. Front Side (Obverse): Features the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus seated atop the Holy House of Loreto, being carried by cherubs (angels), symbolizing the miraculous translation of the Holy House from Nazareth to Loreto. The surrounding inscription reads: “VI CENTENARIO DALLA TRASLAZIONE” (6th Centenary of the Translation) and the date “1894-95″ is engraved at the bottom. This antique 19th C miniature painting on porcelain depicts a Madonna & Child scene, framed in a double frame. The outer frame has burl veneer and an ebonized border. The inner frame is brass with tiny shells. The porcelain (3″x2 3/8″)is wrapped in a metal surround which I believe is also brass. The back of the frame is lined in old French newspaper or book page and the miniature is backed with leather. The artist created this original oil painting in the style of Raphael in France. Measuring 6 inches in height and 5.25 inches in width, (in the frame) this religious artwork captures the essence of biblical themes and portrait style. A unique addition to any art collection, this piece showcases the intricate detail and craftsmanship of the 19th century.

Antique Beautiful religious statue. It is made of papier maché I believe (it’s a light material). Very sweet face with small dammage at the nose and she has beautifull glass eyes. She is on the clouds of Heaven and on her feet you can see 3 cherubs. This statue is from high quality as you can see on the pictures, beautifull patina of age. On the back there are 2 small holes where a halo was in it. This does not disturb the statue at all. On the bottom there is a wooden plate.
