Antique Mary Lourdes Slider Medal Pendant. That slides open to also be a compact mirror. Measuring 1 5/8 wide when closed. This item is light in weight for its size. The item is probably over 100 years old. The mirror is imperfect but you can still see a clear reflection. The slider top is extremely thin and very bendy. The cover is bent at a weird angle. The cover must be kept at this angle inorder for the medal to close properly. A jewler might be able to bend the top back properly. I have not tried to bend the cover back because I do not want to break the item. Used condition with a lot of wear. When recieving this medal you will need to sign for it at your door. This is a very old pre 1900 Alter mirror. I believe these were used in the Catholic Church at the altar above the Sacrament Bowl or some sort of place of significance like that in the church. It is a religious piece from my research. Measures approximately 23 in from top to bottom and approximately 11 inches wide 3 in thick. The hinges are wooden and all hand carved. This is an old late Victorian or early 1900s walnut wall shelf from an old wonderful estate. The owner collected religious items. The shelf is 16 3/4″ wide by 34 3/4″ tall by 10 deep and weighs 8 pounds. It has a mirror and white porcelain knobs. It has a Cathedral church motif and I see the top center crest has two horizontal lines. It may of been repaired here. The shelf on the right front edge has a 4 tight horizontal line. The two drawers work nicely. This could be used as a shaving mirror or possibly a clock shelf. You could display a religious statue on shelf also. This is stunning and in good condition.
