Antique Holy Family Chromolithography in Ornate Religious Frame Needs Restoration. The outside dimensions of the frame are approximately 22.25″ x 16.25″. This is an antique chromolithograph under glass and framed. I have not opened it to inspect the print. The frame has lots of dings with portions of the trim missing and will need to be restored.

Antique Hand Painted Religious MADONNA & Child, Ornate Filigree Frame, Italy. ANTIQUE RELIGIOUS MADONNA ICON. Gorgeous antique religious hand painted image of the Madonna and child in original frame measuring about 5-3/4″ tall 3-5/8″ wide and 5/8 deep. Featuring an ornate, wood backed frame layered with brass beading, a beautiful pierced filigree border and ivory trim accented with corner detail – although the frame appears to be Czech, it is stamped MADE IN ITALY on the side edge. Back is complete with brass swing arms for holding image in place as well as original wood door. I’ve taken it apart to check and made sure – the image is hand painted on vellum and signed finely with two initials that are hard to decipher. Beautifully rendered with fine detail, it is housed underneath a dome top glass cover. Due to the pencil notations here and there, I believe the painting was done in Italy. Condition is wonderful with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, water damage, fading, holes, or wear – only thing of note – the back ring hooks for hanging are no longer present – the piece displays beautifully on small stand – I will include a clear plastic folding easle if you wish. Just an outstanding old religious painting – very moving – frame takes it over the top. Lovely addition to any home, collection or display! If questions, please contact me, thanks!
