Up for sale is a set of two rare antique French 11-12th century hand carved religious sandstone Ecclesiastical sculptures. These sculptures are original handmade sculptures featuring religious figures, crafted using the carving technique. The larger statue is a depiction of. Standing Saint Peter Holding the Holy Bible and the smaller depicting Saint peter holding a large skeleton key. These sculptures showcase intricate detailing and represent a piece of religious art history. They have acquired a wonderful patina from age and mounted in a modern shadowbox frame. The larger sculpture measures 8 1/4 inches tall by 2 inches wide by 1 1/5 inches back to front. The smaller figure measures 5 1/2 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches back to front.
