This is a rare and beautifully preserved Ethiopian protective healing scroll, meticulously handwritten in Ge’ez, the sacred liturgical language of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. Dating likely to the 19th century, the scroll is made from vellum (animal skin parchment) and features both black and red ink, symbolizing divine and protective prayers.
