Made in the late 1800s this type of crucifix was popular for private devotion On a home altar or bedside stand. The body of Christ is made out of cast metal. It is attached to an wood free standing crucifix on a removable base. It is from the Victorian era. It is in very good condition for its age. Certainly the body has oxidized a bit Which adds to the charm and authenticity of the cross. The rest of the cross is an excellent condition it is 14 inches tall by 5 inches wide.
