This antique textile comes from the estate of a Greek Orthodox congregant. It is approximately 9½” by 7½” not including the frame. The stumpwork is done in golden threads on a tightly woven fabric with a fine sheen. The faces and hands are chromolithographs. There is Greek writing above the figures. The stumpwork itself is in excellent condition but the back of the framing shows its age. Please read the Item Description carefully. Despite these, and other, failures, store policy stands as stated herein. Free local pick-up is always available at the Antique Depot in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Beautiful pair of large 19th C. Silk embroidery saints S. Rosa Da Lima surrounded by flowers with hand painted faces and details. Frames are of recent vintage and measure 18 1/4″ x 22 1/4″ x 1 1/4″, antique embroideries measure 15 1/2″ x 19 1/2 and are in very good condition with some signs of age, some small spots where the silk is fragile/damaged, S. Mauro has a bit of loss to text stitching. This pair would be stunning in period frames. Reflections in glass causing some light/dark areas.
