Elegant vintage standing crucifix, made in Germany, measuring 9?? tall x 3¾? Wide x 2¼? Deep. This piece features a black-finished wooden cross and stepped plinth base, mounted with a finely cast silver-tone Corpus of Christ and an “INRI” plaque above. The base bears a radiant sunburst medallion -a symbolic nod to divine light and resurrection. The back is stamped “Made in Germany, ” indicating postwar production, most likely 1950s-1960s, when German religious artisans were renowned for their precise metal casting and devotional craftsmanship. A beautiful, compact size suited for a home altar, bedside devotion, or small chapel display. The contrast between the dark wood and bright metal figure gives it a solemn, dignified presence. Height: 9?? Width: 3¾? Depth: 2¼? “Made in Germany” stamp on reverse. Light age wear and mild surface marks to the wood finish. Metal Christ figure shows gentle patina consistent with age. We Thought We Heard The Angels Sing is signed by the author The leather Bible that comes with the case was given to soldiers during World War II, which includes the inscription from Franklin D. Roosevelt One Bible/Hymnal is printed in German, the rest are in English All books are antique or vintage, with dates as far back as 1872. Books are all in used condition, showing typical signs of wear from age. Bindings are all intact, except for white New Testament pocket Bible whose cover has fallen off. This is an early 20th century religious icon depicting the story of Jesus Crucifixion. Measures approximately 1 in. Photos depict the arrest, crucifixion, and burial of our Lord. Dates to about early 1900’s. Pin-and Knuckle hinge intact. Photos are clear and in scripted in Latin. Very nice condition for its age. Please ask any questions you may have.
