Very good condition, this plaque can stand or be hanged on wall. Porcelain on brass frame. Never taken it out of the frame. Had it for a very long time. This miniature porcelain plaque depicts the Sistine Madonna with child after Raphael’s famous Renaissance masterpiece of 1513. Italian Renaissance 1600’s, Saint Cecilia & Angel, Old Master Antique Oil Painting. A wonderful and rare survival and fresh to market, late 16th or early 17th century Italian oil on re-lined canvas depicting St Cecilia playing an organ and attended by an angel. The haloed Saint Cecilia, her eyes raised heaven-wards with an angel at her side. Probably late 16th century or early 17th century, with still fine colouring and definition of the subjects and of the various elements. In good condition commensurate with age , previously glazed for many decades which has helped preserve the work. Housed in a good gilt Florentine style pierced frame, ready to hang. The image dimensions are approximately: 21” x 16 1/2” (53cm x 42cm). In my own collection for some time and prior to my ownership with a private collector in Naples, Italy. Italian Renaissance Old Master Madonna & Jesus Saint Large Antique Oil Painting. A wonderful, large and fresh to the market huge oil on canvas depicting the Madonna and Child Jesus , after Murillo’s original. Signed lower right,”C. Condition is excellent, the painting having been professionally cleaned and restored this year. Housed in a wonderful carved and gilt Florentine frame with very minor losses, ready to hang. With various old framer’s and catalogueing labels verso. The image dimensions are approximately: 38 1/2” x 28 1/2” (98cm x 72cm) and the frame is correspondingly larger. Charles Bianchini was a 19th century Italian painter based in Rome and who specialised in religious portrait and figural paintings.
