Very good condition, this plaque can stand or be hanged on wall. Porcelain on brass frame. Never taken it out of the frame. Had it for a very long time. This miniature porcelain plaque depicts the Sistine Madonna with child after Raphael’s famous Renaissance masterpiece of 1513. This antique late 1800’s silver Italian Sacred Heart Ex Voto is a stunning piece of religious art. It is quite large. Measures 3.4″ wide by 5.25″ long. Has the gold initials in the center. It depicts a sacred heart and the letters GR are for “grace received”. Of course hand made at that era. It would have been an offering to a Saint for a vow made “giving thanks” for “miracles received”. It was handcrafted in Italy and is a must-have for any collector of Christianity memorabilia. Up for your consideration is an old crown made for a statue. The gilt metal work is detailed with a globe on top and a radial cross. The glass jewels are secured with no missing stone. This is surprising since the metal is old and show signs of Verdigris. Has mouldings, motifs, and scrolls. I do not know much about this crown. Please see photos for measurements. Very good condition considering its age. Will pack with care.
