Antique Heavy Religious Medallion Pendant. Saint Barbara / Virgin Mary / Madonna. 32.7 g pendant weight. She Holds a sword in one hand and torch in the other with what appears to be a pink stone for the flame. Unsure if this is original and is a rhinestone or gemstone. Possibly a pink sapphire, pink topaz or rhinestone. The color is that of antique gold. Both the pendant bail and pendant are stamped 18K HOWEVER THIS HAS BEEN TESTED. AND METAL IS NOT GOLD. (AUTHENTICATION HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE SEE NOTES BELOW IN BLUE). AGAIN IT IS LISTED FOR THE PENDANT ESTATE PIEC ITSELF AND NOT FOR ANY GOLD VALUE AS IT IS OF UNKNOWN METAL AND PLATING. I have also taken to jeweler and had tested which was negative for 18K. Jeweler said he did not know the metal or the plating or metal contents but not unusual for vintage pieces to be marked and not genuine precious metals. 2″ x 1.5″. Thick and heavy and such beautiful detail on this beautiful rare piece!! However, the item’s condition doesn’t match the listing description. STUNNING ANTIQUE CARVED MEERSCHAUM RELIEF RELIGIOUS DEVOTIONAL SIGNED MATTEI. Large size frame approx 13 x 11 inches. Image size approx 9.5 x 8 inch. Domed glass on ebonised oval frame. Unfortunately a piece has been damaged the angels arms have been glued back on and not very well. They look to have been glued back on the wrong way round. Apart from that there is no other obvious damage and I think its beauty over powers any imperfections. Unsure what the image is. Signed mattei also says sauvageau. Antique Religious Meerschaum round Plaque. The detail is stunning. There are a few chips here and there, please see photos for this. Obliviously due to age. It has a signature on the reverse with a number. I’m not sure what the number represents could be date. So that would make it the Stewart era 1700s. It is held in by a wooden round piece which has a metal piece on reverse to hang. I think it probably would of had glass over it. Carving shows beautiful detail. The back really does show its age. The wood is good still, it looks like some kind of paper covering over the wood has come away. The plaque remains secure. I do think this is quite an exceptional piece. The measurements are circumference 26 inches. Diameter is 9 inches. Circumference of piece in the middle is 16 inches. Diameter is 5 inches of piece in middle.
