Antique Religious Meerschaum round Plaque. The detail is stunning. There are a few chips here and there, please see photos for this. Obliviously due to age. It has a signature on the reverse with a number. I’m not sure what the number represents could be date. So that would make it the Stewart era 1700s. It is held in by a wooden round piece which has a metal piece on reverse to hang. I think it probably would of had glass over it. Carving shows beautiful detail. The back really does show its age. The wood is good still, it looks like some kind of paper covering over the wood has come away. The plaque remains secure. I do think this is quite an exceptional piece. The measurements are circumference 26 inches. Diameter is 9 inches. Circumference of piece in the middle is 16 inches. Diameter is 5 inches of piece in middle.
