Antique Oil on Canvas Painting after Correggio 18th Century. A nice late 18th century oil on canvas painting after Correggio, circa 1780. The painting has been re-lined and re-stretched and the frame is a later Victorian one. The canvas is 16″ by 20″ and with the frame it is 27″ by 23″. There is some paint loss, please see all photos. It could use some restoration but we don’t believe it needs cleaning. It was probably cleaned when it was re-lined which was likely within the last 20 years. Note: The subject is “The Mystical Marriage of Saint Catherine of Alexandria” by Correggio, circa 1520. Guaranteed to be as described. Please do not ask us to do s.
