Delightful wall hanging decoration featuring a vibrant religious collage inside a hand-hammered and applied, metal shadow box, c. 1920’s, likely from Ireland or England. A printed scenic image acts as the piece’s backdrop and shows a floating Jesus situated above the cottage home and beside raised gold text “God Bless Our Home”. A heavy amount of dried flowers and foliage cover the bottom left and right sides, giving the setting a 3-Dimensional, highly-decorative, visual appearance. The metal frame is textured with hammer marks and shows four areas of cast flourishes/scrolls applied to the edges. Folding tabs on the rear hold a metal back-plate to secure the interior artwork. A metal-wire is attached through the metal frame and allows for easy hanging. Piece measures 20″ Long x 14″ Wide x approximately 1 Thick. Good to very good. Surface darkening around the exterior metal frame. The interior artwork is not damaged in any regard, showing vibrant colors and clear imagery/text. Light surface scratching on the glass front.
