A stunning rare French solid silver mounted Jesus Christ on the Cross figure. It is hallmarked with the French Minerva head mark signifying 800 standard and a makers mark and it dates to c1900. It has been superbly made having an Arts & Crafts design and being being mounted onto a mahogany cross. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The wooden cross, also perfect, measures over 9 inches (23.2cms) long by 5 inches (13cms) wide and the figure measures over 4.5 inches (11.7cms) long by 2.75 inches (7.1cms) wide and the whole piece weighs 115 grams.
