This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE RELIGIOUS PENDANT that was made in the ART NOUVEAU style in the 1910s. It is handmade from 18K GOLD & PLATINUM and most likely ORIGINATES from ARGENTINA. This pendant is signed in the lower right with two initials that I can not make out. The pendant displays a RELIEF of OUR LADY OF MT CARMEL – The BLESSED VIRGIN MARY as patroness of the Carmelite Order and the patron saint of Chile. The STELLA MARIS Monastery on Mount Carmel in Haifa Israel is considered the spiritual headquarters of the Carmelite Order and it is named after the traditional title of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The pendant is framed with 55 ROSE CUT DIAMONDS that weigh approx. The chain is not original to the pendant, but I acquired it this way and it suits the pendant. The pendant measures 1 at the widest diameter and the chain measures 17.5 long. The back has a personal engraving that reads Ayuda a Ines y Francisco. The engraving is not deep, so you may be able to polish it away if you like. The total weight is 8.4 grams. ONE OF A KIND with FINE DETAIL! Be sure to add me to your favorites list.
