15th to 19th Century Textiles. Antique French Ecclesiastical Cope Hood. A truly beautiful example. Fine quality gold metallic embroidery upon a Lyon Silver metallic silk ground. Lovely gold passementerie trim. Dating from 19th century. Antique condition with general signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Some of the little spangled tassels are missing to fringe trim. Trim has become detached in a place at the bottom needs sewing back into place. I would normally do this simple job myself but I have injured my hand and cannot sew at the moment. Please look at photographs. Would make an exquisite pillow front. SIZE 19 inches x 19 inches not including fringe. Fringe is 3 inches long.
