A unique antique folksy French tin monstrance featuring a top circular holder with glass, the reverse has a latch for opening and closing the holder, it is surrounded by radiating spikes, creating a sunburst effect. The object is mounted on a tall, slender stand with a flared base, and a small cross adorns the top. The tin has an aged patina and shows its signs of manufacture. This piece being less valuable that often found bronze or silver models was used by altar boys during street procesisons and would make a fascinating addition to a collection of religious artifacts or unique folk art decorative items.
