Antique 1915 German Confirmation Certificate – Framed Religious Keepsake by Adolf Gerlach This antique 1915 German Confirmation certificate, titled “Zur Erinnerung an die Konfirmation” (“In Memory of the Confirmation”), is a beautifully preserved piece of Christian history. Measuring 14.7″ x 11.5″/ 38 x 29cm, it is framed under glass, protecting the delicate document and artwork for over a century. A black-and-white religious illustration depicting Jesus saving Peter from drowning in the Sea of Galilee. The certificate is surrounded by a decorative frame of intricate floral and geometric designs. The lower section features handwritten inscriptions, including the confirmed individual’s name, birth date, baptism date, and the Confirmation date and location, signed by the officiating pastor. Created by Adolf Gerlach, Glasermstr. Lüchow, a master glazier and frame maker. Preserved with its original glass frame Overall condition of the certificate – Well-preserved piece with legible handwriting, minimal damage, and an intact frame and glass. Little fading, no tearing, no damage, the frame is strong, solid with some loss of the black paint.
