
This is a magnificent and rare Ethiopian Orthodox Processional Hand Cross, a significant piece of liturgical art used by priests during ceremonies and blessings. Hand-cast using the ancient “lost wax” technique, this cross features a unique spherical central element. While one side features a functional hinged enclosure that opens to reveal a hand-etched icon of two holy figures, please note that the opposite side’s cylinder is decorative and does not open.
