Description of item for sale. This beautiful and intricately hand carved statue of the Virgin Mary is from Belgium and it dates to the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. It’s made from solid walnut wood and signed by the artist, K. We were not able to find any specific information on DeKeyser. THe statue is finished to a very pleasing honey colored medium walnut color. There is a minor repair to one of her thumbs (see photos). Overall this statue is in very good antique condition with very minor scratches, chips and discolorations as would be expected and no woodworm or dry rot.
