It’s carved with a lovely stylized design depicting a bust of Jesus Christ, bleeding, and wearing the crown of thorns. The sculpture is carved out of a solid trunk of wood and still bears bark on the backside.

Incredible wood carved details piece! One of the kind! Probably the early 19th century piece? ! Got it at the estate sale in Beverly Hills mansion. Don’t know much about it! Very heavy and delicate!
The wood is most probably cherry wood. Colour may differ based on computer screen or light quality. Signs of use, cracks in the wood due to being handmade and age.
