This lovely Art Nouveau pendant was crafted in warm 18K yellow gold. This beautiful antique pendant shows a high relief portrait of the Virgin Mary. The portrait mural is surrounded by fine yellow and blue plique a jour enamel, and is framed with small seed pearls strung on gold wire. Accenting the top of the piece is a tiny bezel set pearl. The pendant is designed in a circular shaped medal measuring approximately 3/4 in diameterexcluding bale and ring. But tests 18k, and has a total weight of 2.4 grams. There is a faint hallmark on the pendant ring, possibly a eagle. I believe the pendant to be French in origin. Gold content was tested with a Niton DXL precious XRF metal analyzer.
