I have a pair of tebetan kapala skulls are older not cheap modern pieces both came from estate sales from large collections. The monkey skull kapala was from a home loaded with taxidermy from around the world and was part of a fairly large kapala collection. I have never seen so many together very cool. Anyway at some time someone removed the precious Stone from the top of the head or it fell out along with some of the decorations. This is common in the older kapala. However it is fairly easy to reattach they used some sort of tree sap or pitch to decorate and if heated it becomes sticky and can be reapplied. Every kapala I have received items where loose in the box apon arrival. So please be aware!!! But like I said it’s an easy fix. It also appears the monkey skull at some time took a spill of some sort and the back of his jaw is chipped and he seemed to have lost a little of the sap or pitch material behind the left ear and above the left eye. You will also notice areas around the crown of the head where some of the small silver skulls have fallen off over time. The monkey skull does appear to have silver used in it as it tarnishes with time. The Rams Head when I received it was filthy it appeared to have been in storage in a barn or attic and at some time a small rodent was using the Rams Horn’s for calcium. And there are plenty of areas on the skull where items have fallen off with time but it really isn’t noticable you really have to look at it. This Ram’s skull is highly decorated and displays very well it has higher quality craftsmanship. These items are as is please study the photos carefully. I also may end this at any time as they are listed for sale in several places.
