This is a very rare antique folk art, hand carved wood and bronze religious wine bottle holder. It is very old and completely hand made from a beautifully dark stained wood. It has exquisite 3 dimensional detailing. His face has 2 eyes that are offset, gives it great character. It opens and closes on 2 hinges on the side and closes on a hook clasp. The top has a gorgeous bronze shell handle to carry the case, coming off of a bronze ornate plaque. The piece could hold several size bottles and is in good shape. Has a great patina from age and measures 15 x 4 3/4 inches. Extremely rare piece of folk art. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law.
