This lovely Art Nouveau pendant was crafted in warm 18K yellow gold. This beautiful antique pendant shows a relief portrait of the Virgin Mary holding child Jesus flanked by angels carrying crosses. The portrait mural is surrounded by fine orange and blue plique a jour enamel, and is framed with small seed pearls strung on gold wire. Accenting the top of the piece is a tiny bezel set rose cut diamond. The pendant is designed in a circular shaped medal measuring just under 1 in diameter(excluding bale). Pendant is unmarked but tests 18k, and has a total weight of 3.5 grams. There is a faint hallmark on the pendant ring, possibly a eagle. I believe the pendant to be French in origin. Gold content was tested with a Niton DXL precious XRF metal analyzer. Pendant is presented in very good overall condition, shows normal wear for age.
