A striking antique/vintage hand carved wooden statue of the Virgin Mary and child with the original polychrome finish. The Virgin is represented seated, draped in a green and red ensemble falling in folds on the front and to the sides. Mary supports a naked baby Jesus on her right arm. The polychrome color is still wonderful and the statue has a beautiful patination. It stands 9 inches tall. In very good condition with age appropriate wear.
