Up for sale here is an antique, very old, carved wood statue of Saint Francis. Traces of polychrome and gilt. Color is mostly dark brown/gold. Expected age related wear. Both hands are missing and are not included. Many losses to the paint and gilt. Some cracks and worm holes as pictured – please look the provided pictures carefully. No damage to the structural integrity of this figure – stands perfectly fine and would make an excellent decoration. Very heavy and clearly made of solid wood. This was found at an estate sale in Dallas, Texas. Homeowner had an eclectic collection of museum-quality antiques and artwork. The estate sale company was unable to provide me with any more info about this and the 3 other finds from this sale listed on my page. Size is about 22 inches tall, 8 inches wide & 5.5 inches deep.
