This is a stunningly rare antique 18th century life-sized hand carved solid wood wall mount Jesus Christ sculpture. It is a very large sculpture and once displayed in a church in Italymeasures 61 inches tall by 19 inches wide. It is carved with an abundance of very intricate detailing, from a solid piece of wood, and has acquired a wonderful patina from age. It is very lifelike and extremely dimensional. Jesus is depicted in his long robe standing on a cluster of beautifully carved clouds and has a sacred heart at his chest done in high relief. His hands are extremely lifelike and is shown giving peace wile his hand have large open wounds. The back is cut flat to be able to hang flush on a wall and has a very large iron hanging hook. It is in nice antique condition with normal hairlines and knots from being natural wood. It is in very nice antique condition and is extremely rare. I have been dealing in high quality religious artifacts for many years and this on is truly as good as it gets. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law.
