Description of item for sale: This wonderful hand-carved solid wood antique angel statue holding tablets is from France. The expression translates to “Little angels already flew to heaven, little angels still on earth”. It is an expression of remembrance of children who have passed away but remain among us on earth or have passed to heaven. We date it to the mid-1800’s. It is in very good antique condition with no notable damage. There is no woodworm or dry rot. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished the set with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come.
